Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 5.1 Series Bench:
I bought this after learning how to properly workout from a personal trainer. This bench is better than anything that the trainer had in his facility. So sturdy, easy to use, beautiful design and finish. When I complete a set I rotate to another set which requires a change to the bench setup. This bench can very easily be switched between setups from set to set without much work at all, in just a matter of seconds. For example, I can switch the bench from a complete recline position for situps, to a sitting position with back support for arm curls. This takes less than 10 seconds and requires no loosening or tightening of screws. Just pull a release and the seat adjusts, grab the backrest and move it where you need it...done! Excellent design.

Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 5.1 Series Bench:
I used to work out at the gym 6 days a week. With my new work schedule that is no longer possible. I have the Bowflex Select Tech weights and now this bench. I have purchased probably 4 or 5 weight benches through various places and I have returned them all. They were either wobbly or cheaply made. The Bowflex bench is a solid unit that doesnt wobble and gives great support. I enjoy using it and have not had any problems with it. I also just ordererd the Extreme 2 SE home gym and I can not wait for it to get here!

Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 5.1 Series Bench:
Great adjustable bench but I wish it had a leg extension option since my damaged knee could use that exercise. I don't have room for the full multi-use home gym machine.

Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 5.1 Series Bench:
I've been working out in a gym regularly for over 5 years. I bought this bench with high hopes. It was easy to assemble, and is a solid bench. Unfortunatly it seems to be designed for giants! I'm 5'10 and I feel like a [*] on it. simply sitting with my legs forward, my feet arent solid on the floor. When doing flat chest press, my head is far below the head rest. Another major flaw - when seated on the bench with dumbells resting on knees, my feet are directly on the benche's "anti teeter thingys" (for lack of better vocabulary) This is fine before a set but after popping out a bunch reps and wanting to bring your dumbells down where are your feet falling? Not pleasent if your moving heavy weight.

Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 5.1 Series Bench:
1ST OF ALL, THE 5.1 IS A GREAT BENCH...EXCELLENT FOR INCLINE, DECLINE SHOULDER AND BENCH PRESS...I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED IN THE GAP BETWEEN THE SEAT AND BACK...ABOUT 3" OR SO WHEN UR DOING FLAT BENCH, SO IT COULD BE A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE..BUT ALL IN ALL, IT'S GREAT FOR AT LEAST 12 TO 15 DIFFERENT EXCERCISES, INCLUDING USING IT FOR SITUPS...TOOK ABOUT 45 MIN TO PUT TOGETHER...GREAT PRODUCT!!!

i am 6'4 tall would this bench fit me with out my head hanging off the end of the bench?Asked on 4/24/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
While it partially depends on the length of your torso, you will probably be fine. I had someone 6' 2" lay down on the bench and they were comfortable with some room to spare. The padded part of the bench is 53" long. Remember that your satisfaction is guaranteed. If you're not satisfied with your purchase you can return it within six weeks for a full refund, less return shipping and handling.Answered on 4/26/2011 by RC from Nautilus WHQ, Vancouver, WA
Q:
I don't have much space so I need to be able to flatten the unit and store it up against a wall. Does this fold flat?Asked on 4/3/2011 by John from Phoxnix AZ1 answer

A:
The padded bench top folds flat, but it doesn't collapse any further than that. If you remove the leg hold down brace you could lean it up against a wall to save some room.Answered on 4/4/2011 by RC from Nautilus WHQ, Vancouver, WA

Q:
1)Can you comfortably do effective sit-ups from the decline position?
2)I weigh 220lbs & bench 440lbs-can the bench handle this?Asked on 3/23/2011 by Nevin1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
1) Since your feet will hang down and under the rollers, a regular sit up would put a lot of stress on your quads as you recline to the bench. But I just tried it out and you can definitely do effective crunches where you don't recline all the way to the bench.
2) The max user weight for the bench is 300 lbs so you're okay there. Your impressive bench press, however, exceeds the maximum lifting load -- also 300 lbs.Answered on 3/24/2011 by RC from Nautilus WHQ, Vancouver, WA
Q:
What are the 6 positions in terms of angle? I am guessing decline, flat, 3 inlcines and vertical (or near vertical). Is this right? I am specifically interested in the degrees of the first incline.Asked on 3/13/2011 by John from Canada1 answer
