Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 3.1 Series Bench:
I just wanted to write to you to express my satisfaction with you line of SelectTech dumbells and equipment. As a beginner to the exercise scene, I originally purchased a set of 552 Dumbells and a 3.1 bench over 5 years ago. To my surprise, I quickly gained strength to the point where I needed to upgrade to a higher weight capacity. It was at that time I handed my 552 dumbells down to a friend and purchased a set of 1090 dumbells and the 5.1 adjustable bench, of which I still use to this day. They have both lasted the test of time and have yielded great results, so thank you for building such an innovative and durable product.

Comments about Bowflex SelectTech 3.1 Series Bench:
It is very easy to roll this bench into the corner to get it out of the way when I'm not using it. It is very sturdy and well designed. I've studied the pictures of the 5.1 series bench and from the looks of it you only seem to get two more incline positions. For my purposes the 3.1 is a significantly better value.

Q:
How much does the bench itself weigh?Asked on 2/25/2013 by WickedGirl from Spotsylvania, Va1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Bowflex SelectTech 3.1 Series Bench weighs approximately 55 lbs.Answered on 2/26/2013 by AH from Vancouver, WA
Q:
Can you verify "maximum user weight - 300lbs" means the person only. In other words, if I'm 200lbs and lift 150lbs weight set, have I exceeded the weight limit of the bench by 50lbs or am I 100lbs under the weight limit of the bench?Asked on 3/9/2011 by Anonymous1 answer
A:
It says is the manual that the maximum user weight should not exceed 300 lbs and the maximum lifting load should not exceed 180 lbs. This means that as long as the total weight on the bench does not exceed 480 lbs, then you're in the clear. In the manual (page 2) there is an illustration that shows a man and a dumbbell with the proper and improper weights.
